    I'm teaching a workshop on wikis on Monday, so this tip was very timely.

    I really like the way it is a dynamic mind map and expands the map out as you click on it.

    Have you tried FreeMind to make your mind maps? (free download on SourceForge) I love it.

    Hi Joanne,

    I don't know why this is, but I have tried nearly all the mind-mapping software and I still prefer a large sheet of paper, flip chart or whiteboard over all of the digital solutions I have seen.

    For me, the easy usability of paper still outweighs the benefits of doing this digitally.

    I note that I am not alone here... and I was wondering if it was something like using a typewriter or keyboard for writing... when I first started using a typewriter it was so damn slow, now I much prefer the keyboard for writing because I can get my thoughts down much faster.

    Hi Dave,

    I do agree with your comment on reliable pen and paper- I find that with the software I get caught up in the "cosmetics" when it is really the thought process and getting ideas out from your mind that is the first priority.
