"You're the one who's paranoid"

Here is an actual exchange of words I heard yesterday. It was so bizarre that it must be shared:

“You guys are so paranoid you take a simple question as an insult!”

“You’re the one who’s paranoid.”

“About what?”

“About us being paranoid.”

Can you unravel that one?

Hi Dave,
I am just learning about "blogging" and who better to blog with than you. (But will this comment really be posted? And am I being paranoid to assume my
username will be posted along with it? I hope not.)
And what will become of us, due to all of this wired interaction? I suppose it's all just a big experiment -- the digital revolution -- but why does our generation have to be the test subjects? With regard to your quote of the day and the exchange of words: I think we're all a little paranoid. And as I mature -- actually maybe I'm hardening instead of maturing -- but as I think I'm maturing, I've learned to come less from a defensive posiition in conversation. And I find that accusations offer an opportunity to engage in conversation a little deeper and I find that exciting. It could be a sociopathic tendency to....... no, no,
I'll stop here.
Is this a blog?

lol! Thanks for sharing - made my day. Every day people are so unwilling to open up that they miss all kinds of opportunities to really connect and communicate with one another. I try to make sure I don't fall into the trap of closing up and becoming defensive too often. Great blog!
